ABOUT STUDENT-MADE
A Little Background on Student-Made
Student-Made was started to provide creative students with a platform to share their talents and business with their campus community. As Student-Made continues to expand to schools across the country, our goal is also to connect you with supporters on your campus & our growing network of campuses!
Student-Made is far more than a website for selling your products. This is a collaborative and supportive program you are joining— a program where a dedicated team of seven student managers, works to create opportunities for you to be successful. This is a program where aspiring student-entrepreneurs make valuable connections with one another, and support each other’s growth.
And this is truly an opportunity where you get out what you put into it. Your initiative in seizing all the opportunities available to you— to build your brand, share your story, connect with new communities, seek support, and help this Student-Made platform grow— will make all the difference in your experience.
Meet the Founders!
Lindsay Reeth
Hi there! I’m so happy you’re here!!! Student-Made began from a love and amazement for student making incredible things. There is nothing I get more joy out of than seeing students showcase their amazing talents with a community of supporters to help them reach their ultimate success. My dream is for Student-Made to expand to college across the country, with the focus of building a strong, supportive and authentic community at the forefront. I hope that Student-Made will give you confidence in your passions, tangible experiences to help you grow, and a community that will last you a lifetime.

Hello! It’s hard to match the enthusiasm of my partner, Lindsay… but what you are doing as a student creative is truly our passion. We went to school in a small North Carolina town, which grew our love to locally-made products & small businesses— and we find it so inspiring that students like you are pursuing a passion and even growing a business out of your dorm room. As Student-Made has grown from 1 to 2 to 4 campuses and beyond, Lindsay and I have obsessed over growing the best team possible & providing the best opportunities to support all our students better every day. My best advice would be to be 100% engaged in this program— because you get out what you put in.
The Value of Student-Made
Support in All Aspects of Business Growth
Being a full-time student and owning a business is hard. We know that it can be nearly impossible to manage everything all at once, and we have created this program with that in mind! Student-Made incorporates support systems for everything needed to run a business— marketing, shipping, events, partnerships, content, collaborations, promotion, finances & strategy.
A Team Dedicated to Your Success
At each Student-Made Campus there is a management team made up of 7 students… a Campus Manager, Website Manager, Social Media Manager, Finance & Strategy Manager, Content Creator, Events & Partnerships Manager and Community Engagement Manager. This team works like a mini company, with your success as their main goal. They do this by curating your products on the website, creating unique content to promote your business on social media, initiating partnerships & collaborations on and off campuses, providing fun & helpful ways to connect with your fellow creatives on campus, advising you on accounting & strategy, and MUCH more.
A Growing Network of Campuses
When you join Student-Made on your campus, you’re joining a larger mission that extends throughout all of our campuses. This mission is to connect you to the support of your campus community, as well as our growing network of campuses. We prioritize the collaboration of all our Student-Made campuses so that we are constantly improving our platform— and expanding your supporter base. One thing we always emphasize is that it’s largely up to you to make to most of these collaborative opportunities. Our most engaged students have successfully reached supporters across several campuses— and we can’t wait for you to do the same!
Your Involvement Means…
Actively Promoting Your Products on Student-Made
We help promote your business through all of our growing channels. However, our students who actively work to grow Student-Made and bring new visitors to see their work on the website are most successful. This means sharing with friends, family, classmates and posting frequently on your personal media accounts.
Being a Supportive Member of the Community
One of the main assets you will have through Student-Made is a supportive community of creatives that is always growing. We work to help each others’ businesses succeed by sharing social media posts about the other creatives, and promoting our website to communities we are part of on & off campus. This community extents to all of our Student-Made campuses as well, with a main being for members to promote the brand as a whole, no matter which campus you are at!
Seizing All Available Opportunities
There will be various events & unique opportunities for you to be involved in through Student-Made— including pop-ups, collaborations, social events, special website collections, & more! We encourage you to stay engaged in every opportunity offered and actively make the most of this network.
Helping Us Improve Student-Made!
We also want you to contribute your ideas and take ownership of Student-Made, as your business represents a big piece of who we are and the ‘brand’ we work to create on college campuses! Your engagement really can improve our success!
How Payment Works
$60 Per Semester
The involvement fee is $60 to be part of Student-Made. This payment goes towards the website costs, event costs, marketing & promotional materials, as well as the Student-Made company that oversees your program on campus.
You will receive 100% of your sales from the website on a monthly basis, minus a small credit card processing fee. Pop-up opportunities will be consistently available to you, both on and off campus, where you will receive 100% of your sales. Custom and bulk orders are also frequently requested through Student-Made, which you will be eligible for as part of our network.
We require that you be involved for a minimum of one semester— in fairness to the time spent by our management team in adding you to the website & on-boarding you to the program.
