LINDSAY’S JANUARY LETTER: WELCOME TO OUR BEST YEAR EVER
It’s important to spend time in reflection. As a founder, this process is even more crucial— and I’ve enjoyed being in this space over the past few weeks.
If you’ve met me, you probably picked up on this. I have just made it a goal of mine to prioritize positivity above everything else.

Doesn’t seem too abnormal, right? Well, it wouldn’t be… except I’ve been known to say this pretty much daily.
If you would have told me that Student-Made would be where it is today back when we hosted our first-ever pop-up shop in 2017…
I would have said NO way.
But they were dreams. And like many dreams, they felt impossible and so far away. I knew what I wanted it to become, but I didn’t know if it could ever really happen.
But like with any idea, while you can’t guarantee the outcome, you can always decide to try.
And now I’m sitting at my desk reflecting on how this was the most successful semester of Student-Made yet— as we exceeded more of our goals than we could have expected.
Your own individual successes and experiences are what weaves this special community together. Your efforts and growth as you hit your own goals are what Student-Made is all about!
And with everything you all have accomplished through Student-Made this year, across the country… I can honestly say I’ve never been more energized for the year ahead.
For putting yourself out there, dedicating your time and energy, diving into what it means to be a part of this community.
I am incredibly grateful for each and every single one of you, and I can’t wait to see what we can do together in 2024.
