PROGRAM HIGHLIGHT: KNOWING YOUR MANAGER ROLES

I am quite excited about some of our topics today, so let’s jump right in!

They have been hard at work all summer and semester to put together these opportunities and prepare for you all to have a wonderful semester.
These managers work so hard to help provide this opportunity for you. They get real-world experience while also doing something incredibly meaningful.

I know that with a lot of new people, you may be confused about manager positions, so I am here to give a brief overview. For more, you can check the resource portal!

The Campus Manager oversees all of the managers on the campus. They help out where needed, they are the main point of contact, and they keep track of goals and tasks to ensure progress.

When to Go to Them: Go to your Campus Manager if you’re not sure who else to contact! They can get you to the right person.

The Community Engagement Manager is in charge of keeping our internal community tight and connected. They help onboard creators, plan Community Events, and manage communications. Stay tuned for some fun holiday community events like a Friendsgiving or Secret Creator (instead of Secret Santa because we love inclusivity).

When to Go to Them: Any questions about the program, Creator Folders, applying, or anything else. They are another good manager to go to if you are confused about something and don’t know who to go to.

The Content Creation Manager is the one collecting all content from photos to videos to graphics. They also host Content Sessions, which are photoshoots for you all! With the holidays coming up, definitely go to them for some nice pictures for that holiday shopping!

When to Go to Them: If you have questions about photography or want more content of you and your products.

The Events & Partnerships Manager is the one who plans and manages our pop-ups and promotional events as well as work with on and off campus partners. They will also be reaching out about some holiday pop-ups starting next month!

When to Go to Them: Go to this manager with any pop-up questions and/or ideas.

The Finance & Strategy manager is in charge of getting sales sheets twice a month, organizing the checkout teams for pop-ups, and strategizing based on any data.

When to Go to Them: Go to this manager with any financial questions you may have or advice about selling.

The Social Media Manager is in charge of the Instagram and everything that comes with it: Posting, commenting, engaging, reaching out, etc.

When to Go to Them: If you have any questions about social media promotion or even ideas!

The Website Manager is in charge of the website. They upload all products and creators and process all orders. They are the ones coming up with fun collections, especially for the holidays!

When to Go to them: Go to them when you update your Item Log, need a shipping label, have any questions about products or orders, or anything related to orders.

The Success Manager is an intern with Student-Made who oversees 2-3 campuses and helps their progress and success.

When to Go to Them: Anything! This manager knows pretty much anything and everything!

Remember that these managers are here for you! But they are also students, just like you.

Reach out to them and say hey, get some coffee with them, or even say thank you for all their behind-the-scenes work!

One addition to the semester, which some of you already know about, will be the monthly “Abby’s Q&A.”

Once a month, I will get on a Google Meet and be available to answer any and all questions you may have. This is also a great time to offer suggestions, voice your opinions, and give feedback.

You can also just come say hi because I will never turn down a chance to talk to all of you wonderful people. You can come ask about order processing, pop-ups, community things, what’s my favorite color, talk about this season of Great British Bake Off, truly anything. You can also come tell me your ideas for pop-ups or ways to engage with the community. I want to hear from you!

You can RSVP right here, right now!

I hope to see you all this week during my Q&A. Come tell me who your favorite baker is for the Great British Bake Off!
